| What is this law that says they had to give you 60 day notice. We got NONE. |
| Supposedly a law that covers some at least that you must be given 60 day notice. Anybody know about this?
We got "clean out your desk" and walked you out.
Talk about traumatic, this was it. This after 11 years, I still have not recovered. Anybody else had this sort of treatment?
Why do they do this? |

Some states have a version but not many and the federal version of he 60 day notice I understand they had to have 50 employees or more or some such that were affected etc so likely you were not covered but you can check with an attorney. Some will allow a visit to see if you have a case at no charge and then a percentage of what they recover for you if it does apply to your situation. |

After Bear Stearns Buy-out completed, JPMorgan replaced the exisitng IB tech head and now IB tech head is from ex Bear Stearns big boss. He hated "Project Mangement" concept and he started to replace the project managers/business analyst --- yes he only loves developers - although JPMorgan's style was a traditional SDLC model. Also, he started to replace Operation executive --- now IB Tech in JPMorgan is so perfonaly driven organization. They laid off 20% of employee in IB technology in March 2009 and all employee who got laid off were busines analysts. Also what JPMorgan did to reduce economoic impact to themselves due to NY State WARN Act notification amendment effective Feb 2009 (60 days notice to 90 days notice) is -- They let go employee in New york with 90 days notice and forced not to come back to work. And JPMorgan tells employee because you are not working in 90 days notice period, we will "adjust" additional 30 days - which means.. they reduce the employee's entitled severance pay although WARN act forces employers to pay 90 days pay regardless of working or not working.... JPMorgan should be shamed organization to fool employee to belive they are ethical... It's sooooo embarassing organization. |
